Started from the bottom, now we’re here

From a humble farmer’s market stall, to a food truck and mobile caterer, and now a shop open Monday to Friday in University City, Philadelphia! In the process we have expanded our family to a tightly knit crew of young, talented food professionals. In 2016 and early 2017, you’d find founder, Alex and his mates slingin’ Spurritos out of a food stall down at Bondi Beach farmers market in Sydney!

In 2017, we ventured to the city of Philadelphia to open a food truck in the city’s burgeoning mobile vending scene!

In 2020, we opened our first brick & mortar shop, located at Franklin’s Table Food Hall in University City. You can now get your Spurritos, bowls, hoagies and guacamole Monday – Friday 11-6pm! 3401 Walnut St, Philadelphia PA 19104.

Step up to the plate

In 2021 were part of an incredible initiative in Philadelphia: Step up to the Plate (SUTP), addressing food insecurity, homelessness and access to healthcare in Philadelphia! Each week, the SUTP program saw dozens of local Philadelphia small food businesses hand-crafting meals for those in dire need of assistance. The program delivered over 500,000 meals to the underprivileged in Philadelphia, and has also helped small food business owners continue to do what we love – make our food! Feed the Frontline

During the height of the pandemic in April and May of 2020, our customers (from Philadelphia and abroad) helped us pay forward meals to frontline workers! With your support, we sent hundreds meals to various departments at Hospital of UPENN, the West Philly COVID-19 testing site and Temple Hospital!
